It is said that there is no greater good in this world than feeding an empty stomach. It is a curse to go hungry and unfortunately many of our brothers and sisters face this situation everyday. This situation worsens during the times of natural calamities like the cyclones as well as pandemics like Covid19.
Jai Odisha is working to defeat hunger. It is a formidable opponent but we are trying very hard. Jai Odisha volunteers distribute food packets to the needy on almost a daily basis. We have our own kitchens where modest meals are prepared in hygienic conditions and packed properly. They are then distributed among those brothers and sisters, who need them the most.
During natural disasters, Jai Odisha also distributes raw materials, rice, flour and pulses, to the affected people, so that they are self-sufficient for at least the duration of the disaster. We also collaborate with the local authorities to facilitate their delivery mechanisms and to ensure that the food reaches the last person.
